UKAS Accreditation
Why do we hold UKAS Accreditation?
UKAS Accreditation is a legal requirement for companies carrying out the measurement of asbestos fibre concentrations in air (air monitoring), and also for the analysis of bulk materials for the presence of asbestos (bulk identification) in accordance with HSE Guidance (2005) HSG248 entitled ‘Asbestos: the analysts guide).
Such accreditations are provided by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) following extensive assessment, and granted to demonstrate an organisations has successfully implemented a Quality Management System meeting the requirements of the international standard EN ISO 17025 (Testing Laboratories).
UKAS accreditation is intended to allow organisations and ordinary people to make informed judgments about the selection of a company providing asbestos laboratory, testing or sampling services such that they may be assured they will receive a high-quality service undertaken by competent staff. The laboratory's procedures and practices are assessed to ensure that they meet the criteria laid down in the relevant European Standard.
Training and Safety Consultants Ltd hold ISO 17025 accreditation for asbestos fibre counting, asbestos air monitoring, four-stage clearance testing (following asbestos removal) and bulk sampling of ACMs during building surveys. As a company we have always sought to offer the most professional and high-quality service possible, which meets the specific needs of our Clients. This remains fundamental to our values and will remain the foundation of all our service offerings.
