Accreditation - Why Choose an Accredited Company?

Detailed below is an extract from a quote by Ian Handford, Chairman, Federation of Small Businesses, February 2001 "Small businesses recognise the importance of independent evaluation. However, for customers, consumers, buyers or purchasers, the old adage "caveat emptor" - let the buyer beware - remains. I commit the Federation to make known the importance of UKAS accreditation and the value, security and confidence it brings to small business."

TASC hold UKAS accreditation for asbestos testing services. (ISO 17025).

Asbestos Training - TASC is also a recognised and leading training provider, and a Category 1, 2 and 3 full registered and audited member of the United Kingdom Asbestos Training Association (UKATA). We are certified by UKATA for asbestos licensed, non-licensed and asbestos awareness training.

Why do we hold UKAS Accreditation?

UKAS accreditation allows you to make informed judgments about the selection of our company to provide you asbestos laboratory, testing or sampling services such that you may be assured that you will receive a high-quality service undertaken by competent staff.

Training and Safety Consultants Ltd (TASC) hold UKAS accreditation to the ISO 17025 standard for asbestos fibre counting, asbestos air monitoring, four-stage clearance testing (following asbestos removal) and bulk sampling of potential asbestos containing materials (ACMs) which would be undertaken during an asbestos survey.

Our policies and procedures for asbestos building surveys are generally in accordance with the ISO 17020 inspection body standard.

As a company we always aim to offer the most professional and high-quality service possible, which meets or exceeds the specific needs of our Clients. This remains fundamental to our values and will remain the foundation of all our service offerings.

If you would like further information regarding our UKAS accreditation or to view our detailed accreditation schedules please visit www.ukas.com or otherwise please feel free to contact us.

As a leader in the provision of all types of asbestos training, has been a firm supporter of the establishment of UKATA and a full registered and founder member. We hope to ensure the continual improvement of asbestos training standards and consequently our Managing Director is currently an active member of the UKATA Executive and Membership Committees and will continue to work with other like-minded stakeholders and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to this end.
